2018 was an incredible year for CHH. So to wrap up a great year of music we’re releasing our Top 10 CHH tracks from 2018. (Despite it already being well into 2019…)
If you don’t know what CHH is, it stands for Christian Hip-Hop. However, it’s not an actual genre of music but rather a community and collection of artist and producers that express their faith through their music. It is still Hip-Hop but it provides an alternative to all the profanity and explicitness of songs you hear nowadays.
So if you’ve never heard of CHH I’m about to put you on, if you have, you already know what’s coming. Before you listen make sure you’re comfortable, enjoy the vibez, grab your AirPods or CaBLe HeAdPhOnEs, connect your speaker and please I beg, make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand to put out any fires that may randomly combust whilst you’re listening. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 🤷🏾♂️
10. Coquito - Andy Mineo, Foggieraw, Mannywellz

Foggieraw and Mannywellz alone is already a problem, they have created a few wavy tracks together and then thrown Andy Mineo in the mix and you already know the song is going to be flames before even pressing play.
9. NO NAME - NF

NF is a real one. His music has a lot of emotion and depth. He is often compared to Eminem as they both portray a similar type of energy. NF raps about real life struggles and the pain he’s been through such as the death of his mother.
8. Pressure - nobigdyl., John Givez

nobigdyl. and John Givez’s come with a chilled and mellow vibe on this one, the vocals on the hook is so refreshing. This is defo one of those late night drive tracks.
7. L.N.S - Rhomar Jessy, Enzo Gran

This the kind of song you’ll have stuck in your head all day, the lyrics are simple and catchy.
6. Dun All the Hype - Guvna B, Melvillous

Guvna B and Melvillous both UK artists jump on a grime beat and they go hard. Jimmy James (The Producer) mashes serious work on the beat. The lyrics are powerful and hold a lot of truth, these things are actually happening on our streets today. Lemme stop gassing the song, you go hear it for yourself.
5. Yippy - Aha Gazelle

Aha Gazelle is a personal favourite of mine, he has made and produced several wavy songs. On Yippy he gets some things off his mind about people trying to take advantage of him and blocking out negativity.
4. Better Late Than Never (feat. Phonzy) - Brvndon P

Better late than never is Brvndon P’s first / Intro track of his latest album. It’s a shame the song is so short, just as it’s getting starting it ends. You really have to appreciate Brvndon P’s musical genius; The combination of the beat, the drums and the vocals all fit perfectly together. A longer version is definitely in order.
3. Stronger - Sevin

I don’t know what to say about this one… This song speaks to me differently. Sevin touches on various scenarios that I’m sure some of us can relate to. After listening you'll definitely think about a thing or two.
2. GET RIGHT TO IT / STAYED DOWN - Kaleb Mitchell

Kaleb Mitchell is one of my favourite artists as of now, he's consistent with dropping new singles, Mixtapes/EPs and albums and never fails to deliver. This song is two tracks mixed together with a beat switch. This is one of those song you have to turn your speakers up to max volume just to feel the room shake.
We have finally reached my number one favourite CHH track from 2018.
1. American Pie - Parris Chariz

Parris Chariz only popped up on my radar a few months ago and made it straight to the number one spot. When I listened to his latest album ‘In My Weakness’, there wasn't a single bad song, the whole thing is a vibe. So many songs off his album could have made it to the number one spot but this was my favourite of them all.
If you've made it here thank you for getting through my Top 10 selection.
Those were my favourite songs from 2018, comment below, tweet me or dm on IG your favourite songs from 2018.
